GO GREEN WITH HONG KONG PARKVIEW!
Recognised as a Caring Company by the Hong Kong Council of Social Service, Parkview continues to be mindful of our position as an advocate for sustainable living. Join us in the following initiatives and make a difference to the planet and the lives of future generations!
Eliminating Plastics
To do our part for a greener world, we are partnering with Watsons Water to be one of the first residences to house the new water bottle reverse vending machines, which makes it ultra-convenient to recycle PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) plastic bottles. Don’t let your plastic end up in the landfill! Click here to download Watsons’s Drops of Fun App to recycle them now and get rewarded at the same time!
To further reduce our plastic footprint, our dining outlets are offering easily compostable paper straws as an alternative to the traditional ones to alleviate plastic straw pollution. Of course, you can also choose to dine without!
Reallocating Valuable Resources
We are working closely with charitable NGOs to make sure we are held accountable and give back to society. Foodlink takes all the nutritious surplus food and the ‘Community Used Clothes Recycling Bank’ Scheme works hand in hand with Friends of the Earth to reallocate valuable clothing resources to those in need in the community. There are also more than 20 recycling bins around the property for paper, cans and cartons which are collected by the recycling department for responsible, reusable management. Preserving the Ocean
We are also mindful of the impact of fishing on the oceans and have removed endangered fish and unsustainable seafood from all our menus – including shark’s fin! Our chefs have also meticulously curated an eco-friendly menu for all banquets. Check out the menu Here .
Saving Electricity
We have been supporting WWF’s Earth Hour and use only essential lighting in the Clubhouse during this initiative. Additionally, we use energy-efficient LEDs throughout the Clubhouse and have installed highly efficient chillers as we strive to educate and eliminate unnecessary electricity usage to protect our planet. Learn more about this global movement Here .
We will be participating in EarthHour again this year by using only essential lighting from 8:30pm to 9:30pm on 25 March 2023! We invite you to join us so together we can make a positive impact on the planet and protect it for future generations.
